The ‘Celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region - 2019 Galaxy Entertainment Macao International Marathon’ Kicks-off This Morning; GEG Introduces Handover Cup Trophy
- 1. The 2019 Macau Galaxy Entertainment International Marathon, title-sponsored by GEG for the 16th consecutive year, was kicked off early this morning with horn blasted by Mr. Francis Lui, Vice Chairman of GEG; Mr. Ma Iao Hang, Chairman of the General Association of Athletics of Macau; Dr. Alexis Tam Chon Weng, Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture; Mr. Pun Weng Kun, President of Sports Bureau and Dr. Jorge Neto Valente, Group Advisor of GEG (from left to right).
- 2. Winning the Marathon’s Group Trophy for the 15th consecutive year, GEG runners were joined by Mr. Francis Lui, Vice Chairman of GEG and other senior executives in celebrating their great success.

Mr. Pun Weng Kun, President of Sports Bureau; Mr. Ma Iao Hang, Chairman of the General Association of Athletics of Macau; Dr. Alexis Tam Chon Weng, Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture; Mr. Francis Lui, Vice Chairman of GEG (front row: fifth to eighth from left) and other guests, took a photo with the top nine male athletes of Marathon.
- 4. This year, GEG introduced the ‘GEG Handover Cup’. Mr. Iao Kuan Un and Ms. Wu Yang Yang (from left to right) received the prizes presented by GEG and Champion in Group Female and Male of Half Marathon, respectively.
- 5. This year, GEG hosted again the Most Creative Costume Award in hopes of creating a more exuberant atmosphere.
- 6. GEG performers were cheering on the runners at the 2019 Macau Galaxy Entertainment International Marathon.
- 7. The marathon route this year once again traversed Macau’s well-known architectural sites and landmarks, including Galaxy Macau, in order to showcase the city’s diverse cultural and entertainment offerings.
