GEG Invites Local Students to Participate in the “World Cup Second Classroom” Tour; Expanding Local Youth’s Horizons Through International Sports Event
- 1. Coinciding with the “ITTF Men’s and Women’s World Cup Macao 2025 Presented by Galaxy Entertainment Group” and with the support of event organizers, GEG invited year-four students from the University of Macau’s Department of Communication to Galaxy Arena to participate in the “World Cup Second Classroom” tour organized by the Organizing Committee, with aims to deepen students’ understanding of the professional media communication workflows involved in large-scale sport events.
- 2. 20 year-four students from the University of Macau’s Department of Communication visited the mixed zone and learned about media workflows and practical operations for large-scale international sport events through professional explanation from Ms. Zhou Dao, ITTF Head of Media (Asia), thereby expanding their related knowledge through extra curriculum activities.
- 3. The group of students visited the media center and press conference room, and interacted with Ms. Wang Peng, CMG Table Tennis TV Producer, gaining first-hand insight in the frontline working environment of professional media.
- 4. The students were given the opportunity to interact and receive autographs from the Chinese table tennis player Ms. Zhu Sibing, creating a warm and lively atmosphere.
- 5. The student participants explored the media photography area, experiencing the frontline working environment of professional media.
- 6. The group of students enjoyed a spectacular light show of the event, experiencing the charm of sports competition from a different perspective.
