November 6, 2021 – Upholding its philosophy of “What is taken from the community is to be used for the good of the community”, Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) is committed to contributing to the local community by joining and sponsoring different fundraising activities. This year, GEG supported Tung Sin Tong’s annual fundraising campaign, for the 18th consecutive year, by donating MOP600,000 to support the association’s charitable activities and community services aiming at spreading mutual care and support in the community.
Immediately after Tung Sin Tong announced its annual fundraising campaign, Mr. Francis Lui, Vice Chairman of GEG; and Mr. Buddy Lam, Senior Vice President of Public Relations of GEG, presented a MOP600,000 cheque to show support to the campaign, and handed it to the delegates of Tung Sin Tong, including Mr. Jose Chui Sai Peng, President of Tung Sin Tong, and its Directors, Mr. Charles Choy, Ms. Deborah Vong, Mr. Carlos Lam, Mr. Jeffrey Vong and Ms. Terry Sio. After the cheque presentation, both parties also exchanged views on different topics including charity work, corporate social responsibility, and pandemic control and prevention measures.
For many years, Tung Sin Tong has dedicated its work to servicing Macau and to give a helping hand to those in need. Its contribution is well recognized by the community and as a responsible corporation, GEG is honored to support Tung Sin Tong’s charitable work, and to promote the spirit of community giving in Macau. Under the new normal of pandemic control and prevention, GEG will continue to support the pandemic prevention measures laid out by the Macau SAR Government and work with the community to establish herd immunity. GEG will also continue to positively support and take part in different charitable events to facilitate the sustainable development of Macau.
GEG is committed to fulfilling its corporate social responsibilities through supporting various charities and social services. In addition to supporting Tung Sin Tong’s annual fundraising campaign for 18 consecutive years, GEG, as one of the sponsors of the upcoming 68th Macau Grand Prix, will also celebrate it with the medical staff of Tung Sin Tong’s clinics by inviting them and their families to visit the Macau Grand Prix Museum, as well as to watch a series of exciting races, including the Galaxy Entertainment Macau Guia Race, on the race days. Through these activities, GEG hopes to express its sincere gratitude to the medical staff on their contribution to Macau’s pandemic control and prevention work, and to share with them the excitement of the Grand Prix sports event. In the past, GEG has also partnered with Tung Sin Tong in organizing different community activities for its service users. Earlier this year, GEG arranged its volunteer team to visit elderly members of Tung Sin Tong, and bring them festive gifts in celebration of the Lunar New Year. Moving forward, GEG will continue to fulfil its pledge by spreading care across the community and to work with all sectors of the community on constructing a harmonious society.
