February 4, 2022 – To celebrate the Year of the Tiger, the flagship properties of Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) – Galaxy Macau™ and StarWorld Hotel, held traditional ceremonies today where festive joys and well wishes were shared with team members, guests, and the public.
Meanwhile, GEG also held a series of Chinese New Year-themed activities during the festive season for its team members and the public. Today, on the Fourth Day of Chinese New Year, Mr. Philip Cheng, Director of GEG; Mr. Robert Drake, Group Chief Financial Officer of GEG; Ms. Eileen Lui, Group Director of Human Resources and Administration of GEG; Mr. Kevin Kelley, Chief Operating Officer – Macau of GEG; Mr. Raymond Yap, Senior Director of Integrated Resort Services of GEG; Mr. Richard Longhurst, Senior Director of Gaming of GEG; Mr. Andy Lee, Deputy Director of Operations of StarWorld Hotel and other senior executives attended the worship ceremonies and dotted the eyes of the ceremonial lions at the Porte Cochère of Galaxy Macau’s Diamond Lobby and StarWorld Hotel respectively. The triumphant sound of drums and firecrackers, and exuberant performance of the dancing lions attracted many guests and residents.
To enliven the festive joy, GEG also organized a number of activities for its team members, including the “CNY Fai Chun Writing” and the “CNY Selfie Corner”. Chinese New Year-themed dishes were also offered in staff canteens to deliver well wishes to team members.
Prior to the Chinese New Year, Galaxy Macau held a Chinese New Year Market at its East Square, and invited different local small and medium-sized enterprises to participate. With a variety of festive products and goods, the market attracted many residents and tourists. In particular, GEG also invited “Made in Macau” brands, young start-ups and social enterprises to join the market, encouraged them to seize the opportunity to promote their business and advocated the spirit of love and unity, as part of GEG’s corporate social responsibilities efforts.
