April 15, 2023 – Over the years, Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) has been dedicated in promoting a better understanding of national and local development among the community and its team members through a variety of activities. Since today is National Security Education Day, GEG organized team members for a visit to the National Security Education Exhibition (“Exhibition”) jointly organized by the Macau SAR Government and the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macau SAR and inaugurated earlier this morning at the Complex of Commerce and Trade Co-operation Platform for China and Portuguese-speaking Countries. For five consecutive years, GEG has supported team members’ attendance at this and other pertinent exhibitions as part of the GEG National Education Series aimed at helping them better understand the nation’s most recent accomplishments in constructing and developing national security, as well as strengthening their sense of patriotism and national identity.

During the event, team members visited six exhibition parts under the guidance of an on-site exhibition guide, covering topics such as the latest advances in national development, the modernization of the national security system and capacity, the overcoming of challenges to safeguard social stability and national security, the unwavering defense of national security in unity, the march to the future with joint hands and confidence, and the striving of fostering stronger patriotism and love for Macau. Through the photos, display panels and videos, team members were able to gain a thorough understanding of the major historical events and accomplishments in national security over the past ten years, as well as the significant work and achievements of the Macau SAR Government in maintaining national security, guaranteeing the steady and lasting implementation of “One Country, Two Systems”, and promoting the fundamental principle of “Patriots Governing Macau”.

During the visit, team members exchanged views on the content and theme of the exhibition. Some of them indicated that the exhibition covered different aspects and themes every year, which helped them gain a deeper understanding of the overall concept of national security and its importance to the prosperity and stability of Macau. They also expressed their gratitude to the company for arranging the visit on the exhibition’s first day so that they can learn about national conditions with their colleagues from various departments.

In an effort to increase team members’ knowledge of national security, GEG also promoted the exhibition to its team members through multiple approaches, such as putting up posters in the back-of-house areas and disseminating pertinent information via its internal communication channel. This encouraged team members to actively participate in the exhibition and to learn about the significance and importance of national security via online platform.

As a patriotic Chinese enterprise that is deeply rooted in Macau, GEG has been promoting national conditions to its team members and local youth by proactively arranging different activities for them to take part so that they can develop a fuller understanding of the developments in Mainland China and Macau. These activities include hosting a “Sharing Session of the NPC and CPPCC” for the 4th consecutive year to help team members appreciate the spirit of the “Two Sessions”, and visits to the large-scale photography exhibition on the 100th anniversary of the Communist Party of China, the exhibition of Chairman Mao Zedong’s extraordinary life and significant achievements, the “Base of the Education of Love for the Motherland and for Macau for Young People”, and the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Macau Garrison. Furthermore, GEG has also title-sponsored the “GEG Macau Cup – Youth National Education Competition” for 14 consecutive years with over 110,000 participants attended; and co-organized the GEG Youth Achievement Program with the Macau Management Association for 12 consecutive years and added national elements and tours to different Mainland China cities to recent years’ program. Moving forward, GEG will continue to make every effort to promote national education, cultivate patriotism among its team members and young people, and advocate the spirit of “loving the motherland and loving Macau”.
