Through these activities, GEG hoped to promote the Grand Prix’s excitement, and engage the different sectors through sports.
Supporting the Youth Volunteer Association of Macao’s “One Day Volunteer” event for the 10th year, GEG invited nearly 20 elderlies to visit the Macau Grand Prix Museum and to learn of the event’s 70 years of history in Macau, encourage them to remain active in the community and participate in sports-related exchanges. Accompanied by members of the GEG Volunteer Team and the museum’s docent, the elderlies were given a guided tour where they appreciated the racing exhibits, experienced interactive games, and gained insights into Macau’s motorsports culture. Additionally, GEG purchased snacks from the Sam Meng Chi Snack Shop, a social enterprise of the Macau Association for Intellectual Development Services, for the elderlies to enjoy after their museum tour, thereby conveying care to different communities.
Leveraging on the series of Macau Grand Prix celebration events that were being held at Galaxy Macau, GEG organized an exclusive session at the Pit Stop Challenge for approximately 40 people from the Macau Autism Association, Sheng Kung Hui Macau Social Services Coordination Office (“SKH”), the GEG Youth Achievement Program (“YAP”), and the Macao New Chinese Youth Association.
