GEG Donates MOP700,000 to Tung Sin Tong to Support Its Annual Fundraising Campaign for the 21st Consecutive Year

November 1, 2024 – Upholding its philosophy of “What is taken from the community is to be used for the good of the community”, Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) has actively supported and participated in various local fundraising and charitable activities over the years to promote the sustainable development of the Macau community. This year, GEG presented Tung Sin Tong Charitable Society (“Tung Sin Tong”) with its 21st consecutive year of support by donating MOP700,000 to its annual fundraising campaign at the first day of event, for supporting its promotions of traditional Chinese medicine and other charitable events, reflecting GEG’s corporate social responsibility commitment of “Community at Heart, Empathy in Action”.

Today, Tung Sin Tong delegates, including Chairman Mr. José Chui Sai Peng; Vice Chairman Mr. Ma Iao Iao; and Directors Ms. Agnes Fok, Mr. Lei Chi Fong, Mr. Charles M. Choy and Mr. Derek Tinyol Chui visited GEG and were warmly received by Mr. Francis Lui, Vice Chairman of GEG; Mr. Andrew Lui, Head of Design and Development of GEG; Ms. Carol Tai, Vice President of External Affairs of GEG; and Ms. Annie Loi, Assistant Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility of Public Relations of GEG, who presented the Tung Sin Tong delegation with a MOP700,000 donation cheque. During the visit, GEG representatives expressed gratitude for Tung Sin Tong’s long-standing contributions to society, offering assistance to those in need and promoting community harmony. Taking the opportunity, GEG invited Tung Sin Tong’s Pharmacy to set up a charitable booth at the “2024 Galaxy Entertainment Macao International Marathon Carnival” that will be held the end of this month, to advocate the spirit of philanthropy and to promote traditional Chinese medicine to residents and tourists. In addition, the two parties also discussed and exchanged insights on various topics, including the development of Macau’s charity sector, GEG’s corporate social responsibility, and future collaborations.

Over the years, GEG has maintained close contacts with Macau’s different charitable organizations and social service associations. In addition to supporting Tung Sin Tong on its annual fundraising campaign, GEG also co-organizes various activities with them. During Chinese New Year this year, GEG invited Tung Sin Tong’s pharmacy to set up a charity booth at the back-of-house at Galaxy Macau™ integrated resort, during which a series of Chinese New Year gift boxes were sold to promote traditional Chinese medicine and health foods to GEG team members. As well, GEG also invited seniors from Tung Sin Tong’s elderly care center, as well as Tung Sin Tong’s staff to attend some of the major sports and entertainment events organized by GEG. Recently, on October 16, to celebrate World Food Day and raise awareness for issues such as food disparity and the need to cherish food resources, GEG invited students and parents from Tung Sin Tong Primary School to a “GEG World Food Day Workshop” aimed at inspiring their commitment to sustainable development.
