GEG Presents “RoboMaster 2020 Macau Youth Robotics Competition” Nurturing Young Talent

October 20, 2020 – Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) has been actively supporting the youth and talent training programs and policies of the Macau SAR Government, and is committed to promoting the development of diverse talents. Presented by GEG, co-hosted by the Smart City Alliance Association of Macau and DJI Education, and organized by WellWin Technology Limited, the “RoboMaster 2020 Macau Youth Robotics Competition” (“RoboMaster”) championship competition is held today and tomorrow at the Broadway Theater of Broadway Macau™. Last Sunday, 50 students from 25 local schools, along with the representatives from the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau (“DSEJ”) and the organizer, visited the competition venue at Broadway Theater to learn about the competition’s application of artificial intelligence. GEG hopes to promote STEM education by supporting the RoboMaster and to raise young peoples’ awareness and interest in scientific and technological innovation.
GEG sponsors the RoboMaster venue, and provides equipment and technical support so that the participating students can focus on the showcase of their technological creativities and innovations at Broadway Theatre. During the visit, the staff of Broadway Theater introduced the students to the venue’s different professional lighting, sound and stage effects equipment, and explained to them how the equipment can be used to enhance the visual experience and overall atmosphere of the competition. The students who joined the visit were active in asking questions and expressed their anticipation. In addition, the representative from the organizer also introduced the competition’s on-site layout, format, rundown and plans, etc. to help students better understand the competition and increase their interests. The competition consists of a total of 18 teams under the Junior and Senior category. The winning team will be given the honor to represent Macau in the final tournament in Mainland China.
To promote STEM education, GEG sponsored the "GEG Presents: Popular Science Activities in Schools on Chinese Drones" last year where a variety of China’s new unmanned aerial vehicles and precision technology was presented to students to further stimulate their interest in scientific innovation. In addition, GEG has sponsored the "GEG Macau Cup-Youth National Knowledge Competition" for 12 consecutive years to assist local youths in accurately understanding the countries’ various development and inspire them to contribute to the motherland’s future development plans. GEG will continue to support and cultivate talents and develop local leaders.
