March 17th, 2010
Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) today announced the details of a mass Recruitment Fair that has been planned for the development of its project in Cotai – the flagship Galaxy Macau. The recruitment fair, held on March 20th, will be one of the most important milestones leading towards the opening of Galaxy Macau in early 2011 that was announced earlier.
The recruitment fair, which takes place from 9:00am to 5:00pm on March 20th, is targeted for local construction workers and talents from related fields only. A recruitment center has been set up at the construction site of Galaxy Macau and complimentary shuttle buses will be arranged to take interested candidates from different major areas in Macau peninsulas to Cotai. GEG’s Human Resources personnel will be onsite to conduct interviews and the results for employment will be announced in two working days.
“As a good corporate citizen, GEG is committed to localization and over the years, the group has made significant progress in creating many employment opportunities for Macau citizens,” said Ms. Eileen Lui, Director of Human Resources and Administration of Galaxy Entertainment Group. “The Recruitment Fair is an ideal platform for us to identify local professionals and talent to meet our current construction demands and we hope that this event will help us bring over 1,000 local construction talents to the GEG family. With the opening of Galaxy Macau in early 2011, GEG is also looking forward to creating more job opportunities for the entire Macau labor market.”
Debuting in early 2011, Galaxy Macau is built with Asian Heart. Positioned as the only true authentic Asian five-star resort destination in Macau, GEG invested over HK$14 billion in creating this astounding 550,000 square meters destination resort. Fully integrating leisure, entertainment and gaming facilities, the destination resort has over 2,200 rooms, suites and Macau’s one and only villas across three world-class hotels – the highly anticipated five-star Galaxy Hotel which is operated and managed by GEG, award-winning and ultra-exclusive Banyan Tree Hotel and Resort and Japan’s legendary Hotel Okura. Nestled with a 52,000 square meters oasis garden, Galaxy Macau offers the world’s largest rooftop wave pool, covering 4,000 square meters with 350 tons of white sandy beach, and one of Macau’s largest luxurious spas managed by world-renowned Banyan Tree Spa. In addition, Galaxy Macau also offers one of the largest leisure complexes in Asia, with over 50 food and beverage outlets and a distinct retail shopping area offering Asian delights.
