November 25, 2010
Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) has always been supportive to Macau’s talent development. Attentive to the future development of Macau’s youths and the sustainable development of the city’s leading industry – gaming, GEG earnestly prepares for early next year’s grand opening of Galaxy Macau™ with the introduction of a “Galaxy Macau™ Student Exposure and Experiential Development (“SEED”) Program”. Created as a vocational training vehicle for local students, SEED offers local undergraduate students a rare and valuable opportunity to participate in the pre-opening of one of Macau’s most anticipated integrated resorts. Working with GEG members at the integrated resorts’ various departments, students will be one of the firsts to understand Galaxy Macau™’s unique leisure and resort features, and through experiencing the various types of work offered, students will be better able to set more fitting career and personal development goals.
Commencing in mid December 2010, the “Galaxy Macau™ SEED Program” is a 200- hour program designed for Year 3 and Year 4 local university students. Mr. Paul Temple, GEG’s Vice President of Training and Development said, “Embracing our “World Class, Asian Heart” philosophies, Galaxy Macau™ shall bring to Macau the city’s first truly integrated resort destination and one of Macau’s most spectacular and significant grand opening in early next year. Preparing for the success of next year’s grand opening, GEG sincerely invites all enthusiastic and energetic local university students, with a willingness to learn and has an interest in working for a large integrated resort, to join our first ever SEED program. The SEED program offers many valuable opportunities that apprentices will find useful during their later careers and an opportunity to experience our proud “Asian Heart” culture.” In an effort to attract more applicants, GEG will give all participating students a SEED Program Completion Certificate, a GEG reference letter and a MOP 5,000 value incentive upon the program’s successful completion.
