Galaxy Entertainment Group Invited 50 Youngsters to See 3D Movie and Tour Around “Christmas Dreamland”
December 17, 2012 – As Christmas is fast approaching, the volunteer team of Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) invited 50 youngsters from 3 local associations to enjoy an array of entertainment and activities at Galaxy Macau™. Not only did the young guests see an exciting 3D animation at the UA Galaxy Cinemas, which has just celebrated its first anniversary, but they also had a pleasant tour around the “Christmas Dreamland” at the East Square, where they were all happily engaged in fun carnival games and received Christmas gifts from Santa Claus.
Accompanied by the GEG volunteers, over 50 youngsters and staff members from “Mong-Há” Children and Youth Home, “Helen Liang” Children Home and Sheng Kung Hui “Star of Hope” Youth Home arrived at the UA Galaxy Cinemas on Saturday morning to see the DreamWorks Animation's “Rise of the Guardians”. Fascinated by the vibrant and colorful 3D images, the spectators were laughing out loud throughout the entire movie which tells an exciting story of 5 immortal guardians joining forces to protect the hopes and imagination of children.
It was clear that the group has thoroughly enjoyed the movie as they could not stop talking about their favorite scenes when they left the cinemas for the next activity. Queenie Chu, a GEG volunteer from the table games department of Galaxy Macau, said, “We are very pleased to have brought so much happiness to the kids. And we also had a wonderful time watching the movie with these sprightly young people, and to be surrounded by their joyful laughter.”
As the young members arrived at the “Christmas Dreamland”, they were immediately welcomed by the cheerful dancers who performed Christmas-themed dance and magic show in elaborate and colorful attires. They were then drawn to the candy-striped carnival booths and created beautiful pieces of festive items such as Christmas cards and balloon sculptures with the help of the friendly GEG volunteers. The youngsters were especially thrilled by the surprise appearance of Santa Claus, who extended warm festive blessings to each and every one of them through some Christmas candies and chocolate.
With gratitude towards the GEG volunteer team for arranging a memorable outing for the young members, Sister Kwan Lai Yee of “Mong-Há” Children and Youth Home said, “From the smiles on their faces we can see that they really enjoyed the activities today. This outing has certainly lightened up their hearts and I’m sure they will have an enjoyable and heartwarming Christmas to remember this year.”
