GEG Launches “GEG Sea Cruises: Fishing Heritage Leisure Tour”; Incorporates Cultural Elements of Fishing Village to Present a Unique Maritime and Cultural Tourism Experience
- 1. Recently, “GEG Sea Cruises: Fishing Heritage Leisure Tour” made its inaugural voyage. Ms. Tong Iok Peng (third from left, back row), Deputy Director of DSAMA of the Macau SAR Government; Mr. Wu Chon Wai (second from left, back row), Chief of the Ship Inspection Division of DSAMA; and Mr. Winky Tse (third from right, back row), Vice President of Special Projects of GEG, attended to support and participate in the experience.
- 2. Representative of the Fishermen’s Mutual Help Association of Macau took the guests and participants on the ship deck to enjoy the urban and coastal scenery of Macau.
- 3. To help the guests and participants absorb Macau’s unique charm as a fishing village, GEG treated them to a performance of “Saltwater Songs”, a dialectal folksong listed as one of Macau’s intangible heritages, sung by Mr. Ho Kim Pui at a fishermen’s stilt house along the coast.
