GEG Invites Caritas Macau’s Service Users and their Families to the Galaxy Lantern Art Festival in Celebration of National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival

September 27, 2023 Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) upholds its philosophy of “What is taken from the community is to be used for the good of the community” by organizing different activities to extend love and care to the community. In conjunction with the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival, GEG invited users of Caritas Macau’s services and their families to the Galaxy Lantern Art Festival jointly launched by Galaxy Macau™ and the Macau Designers Association where they celebrated the festivities while enjoying a series of digital art and lighting experiences.

Accompanied by members of the GEG Volunteer Team, this afternoon, nearly 30 users of Caritas Macau’s Family and Child Youth Services walked through the walkway off Galaxy Hotel™ to appreciate and take photos of the award-winning lanterns designed by art students in university and designers from Macau and other parts of the Greater Bay Area. Afterwards, the participants visited the Outdoor Lawn near Galaxy Macau’s Diamond Lobby, where they enjoyed snacks that were prepared by GEG and observed the first 6-meter-diameter Supermoon in Macau. The ambiance was filled with festivity, with children expressing great excitement and interest in the installations, which filled the air with love and joy. In addition, GEG presented the participating families with Mid-Autumn Festival gift packs that included mini mooncakes and greeting cards purchased from the Fuhong Society of Macau, as well as the Mid-Autumn Festival special edition lanterns of Wavey the peacock of Galaxy Kidz.

Ms. Lam, a parent who participated in the activity, said, “I truly appreciate GEG’s arrangement for this event on the occasion of the National Day and the Mid-Autumn Festival since it allows us to celebrate and learn about traditional Chinese festivals with our children in such a strong festive ambiance created by the art installations. The GEG Volunteer Team helped us take many family photos, capturing our warmth and joyous smiles, and also helping us preserve the precious moments.”

To further share the festive joy with the community, the Wavey Lantern Art Parade, one of the activities of the Galaxy Lantern Art Festival, will also be held on the evening of September 29 and 30 (Friday and Saturday), for which GEG invited various local arts and cultural troupes to present their spectacular dance and music performances to the public and visitors, with the aim of supporting the development of local arts and cultural talents.
