September 11, 2011–Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”)’s dragon boat teams achieved overwhelming success in today’s “Macau Small Dragon Boat Mid-Autumn Festival Cup” as “Galaxy Universe” battled down its rivals to be crowned the first winner in the mixed competition, while the fierce “Galaxy Phoenix” also snatched the champion in the women’s final.

Three GEG terms swept the Champion, the second and the fourth position in the mixed final of the Mid-Autumn Festival Cup. It was a competition among equally powerful forces, but with its outstanding team efforts and strengths, “Galaxy Universe” finished the competition in 1 minute and 3 seconds to be crowned the Champion of the competition. Lagging just 2 seconds behind, “Galaxy Star” completed the lane in 1 minute and 5 seconds to become the first runner up. “Galaxy Pearl” also finished the competition in 1 minute and 7 seconds and became the fourth winner of the competition.

The two female GEG dragon boat teams had also achieved great success in the women’s final by winning the champion and the second runner-up title. “Galaxy Phoenix” grabbed the champion with a finishing time of 1 minute and 11 seconds while “Galaxy Elegance” completed the race in 1 minute and 15 seconds to be named the third winner of the competition.

The First Mid-Autumn Festival Cup organized by Macau Dragon Boat Association at Nam Van Lake Nautical Center had attracted the participations of up to 121 dragon boat teams from Macau and Hong Kong. Eight GEG dragon boat teams, including two women's team, two men’s teams and four mixed teams had joined the competition and displayed their most spectacular performance. The athletes were so proud of what the tremendous result they had achieved.
