October 29, 2013 - In celebration of the 60th anniversary of Macau Grand Prix, Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) announced an exclusive sponsorship agreement with Macau’s very own racing driver Henry Ho, who will compete with international racers in FIA WTCC - Guia Race of Macau on November 17.
GEG has always been passionate about promoting local sports development. The two flagship properties, StarWorld Hotel and Galaxy Macau™, have for many times provided sponsorship support to racing teams in Macau Grand Prix. This year also marks the ninth consecutive year for GEG to present FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix™ Macau, and the tenth year in a row to be the title-sponsor of the upcoming Macau Galaxy Entertainment International Marathon. GEG’s long-term involvement in local sports activities has demonstrated its vision and commitment to bringing world class sporting events into Macau and transforming the city into the World Center of Tourism and Leisure.
Now that Macau Grand Prix is celebrating its diamond jubilee, GEG specially sponsors local player Henry Ho to race in this legendary tourism and sporting events in town. Starting his racing career in 2005, Henry Ho, 31, has made a name for himself through racing in different regions across the world including Japan, Zhuhai, Malaysia and Thailand. He won the grand trophy in Driver's championship-Division of Asian Touring Car Championship in 2006, snatched championships in four races consecutively in Macau Touring Car Champion, S2000, in 2008. Henry spent a few years studying abroad in Australia and returned to Macau at the age of 23. He joined the Macau Novice Race hosted in Zhuhai with only one-month training and immediately claimed championship in his first race, demonstrating great skills and potential in motorsports.
Having a strong passion to motorsports, Henry strives to improve performance through participating in major auto races around the world. With the support from GEG, Henry will continue to showcase his greatest talent in the highly technical Macau Grand Prix this year.
