Galaxy Entertainment Group Donates Toys to Children’s Centers
December 18, 2013 - As part of its effort to reach out to the needy children, Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) specially donated boxes of toys and kids’ items to two children’s residential centers, Cradle of Hope and ECF Fellowship Orphanage Inc., hoping to offer more festive fun and activities to the young ones in this special season of the year.
Boxes of donated items were delivered to the two centers by the members of GEG volunteer team on Wednesday. Ms. Cheong, a social worker of Cradle of Hope, thanked GEG for the generous offers and said, “The heartwarming gifts from GEG will not only bring some festive warmth and care to our young residents, but they will also help us forge a fun and healthy play area to provide more recreational activities for the kids.”
Mr. Ieong, representative of ECF Fellowship Orphanage Inc, said, “Christmas is around the corner and it is about time to hold a Christmas party. The donations from GEG have come at the right time and I am sure that with these fun-filled toys and games we can create an even more memorable party for the children.” He also hoped that the donations could help increase awareness about the living condition of less privileged children and thus benefit more families living in poverty.
Games and activities play an important role in children’s development. In an effort to provide more entertainment for the children in need, GEG has rendered great support to local toy collection campaigns through donating brand new kid’s items and collecting used toys from team members for the campaign. Now that Galaxy Macau™ is undergoing renovation of its facilities, GEG specially selected some educational toys and games from a batch of children’s items purchased earlier and donated them to the two charity centers. The donated items include puzzle, musical instruments and math games, which will not only provide more fun and joy for the children, but will also help them develop their strength and interest.
