China National Team Arrives at Galaxy Hotel for Three-day “FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix™ Macau 2016” Tournament

Jun 13, 2016 – “FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix™ Macau 2016” presented by Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) will be held on June 17 to 19. Today, the China Women’s National Volleyball Team arrived at Galaxy Hotel™, the official hotel of the “FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix™ Macau 2016”. GEG hosted a welcome reception for the athletes at the hotel.
Led by head coach Ms. Lang Ping, the group of 25 athletes arrived at Galaxy Hotel this evening. Supporters were waiting at the hotel to greet the team, and GEG ambassadors presented bouquets to the athletes. The reception was attended by Dr. Jorge Neto Valente, Group Advisor of GEG and Mr. Buddy Lam, Assistant Senior Vice President of Public Relations of GEG, who shook hands with each athlete. Fans were thrilled to see the athletes and look forward for their performances in the upcoming competitions.
This is the fifth year that Galaxy Hotel has been selected as the official hotel for the tournament. Galaxy Hotel will continue to underpin its “World Class, Asia Heart” service philosophy by offering the finest hospitality to the athletes. Special arrangements will be made to cater to the athletes’ specific needs in food and beverage and accommodation so that the team can perform its best in the matches.
The “FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix™ Macau 2016” is an important event for the volleyball players in the lead-up to the Olympic Games this August in Rio de Janeiro. China’s first match, against Belgium, will be played on June 17, followed by Serbia on June 18 and Brazil on June 19. As in the previous years, GEG is organizing the “My Favorite Galaxy Star Player” award. Ballot boxes will be positioned at Macau Forum for spectators to cast their votes during the three days of the tournament. The player who receives the most votes will receive GEG-sponsored prizes such as hotel accommodation, spa treatments and food and beverage coupons. The fans who vote for the winning player will be entered into a lucky draw for accommodation at Galaxy Hotel and food and beverage coupons.
