Aug 29, 2016 – Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) gathered over 1,000 team members today at Galaxy Macau™ integrated resort and organized a GEG Team Member Rally in which a four-leaf clover image was successfully formed, setting the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ Title for being the largest human image of a four-leaf clover.
The GEG Team Member Rally was held today on the lawn at Galaxy Macau at 4:30 p.m. After the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS adjudicators announced the commencement of the challenge, over 1,000 GEG senior executives and team members entered the designated challenge area and formed the image. As no guiding gestures were allowed during the challenge, team members walked into their position by themselves. Mr. Francis Lui, Vice Chairman of GEG, Ms. Eileen Lui, Group Director of Human Resources and Administration, GEG and Mr. Kevin Kelly, Chief Operating Officer, Macau, GEG were present to cheer on the team members and join in forming the four-leaf clover representing GEG’s service philosophy. The formation had to maintain its position for 5 minutes for the adjudicators’ evaluation. After GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS Adjudicator Ms. Joanne Brent’s verification of the successful formation of the four-leaf clover by a total of 1,068 participants, she presented the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS certificate of largest human image of a four-leaf clover to Mr. Francis Lui, Vice Chairman of GEG.
Mr. Francis Lui said in his speech that he was thrilled for GEG to have achieved the record and that he takes pride in GEG team members’ organizing this memorable activity. Since GEG’s Asian Heart service has been providing exceptional experiences to visitors, the challenge today fully reflected the dedication of all GEG team members to work as a team in offering wholeheartedly the best Asian Heart service. In addition, Mr. Lui stressed that GEG will bring in additional elements to comply with the Macau SAR Government’s Five-Year Plan and is striving to develop Macau into a “World Centre of Tourism and Leisure.”
One of the GEG team members who joined the activity said that it is rare to have such large human formation activity in Macau and that it is also the first time for one to be organized by a gaming operator. He was excited to be part of the activity and witness the setting of the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS Title. He said that the activity attracted team members from different departments to participate, which had fostered better understanding and communication in the workplace.
After the activity, GEG senior executives took a group photo with team members to mark the moment and presented certificates and souvenirs to each participant.
