2017 Macau Galaxy Entertainment International Marathon kicks off today; GEG Won Group Trophy for the 13th Consecutive Year
- 1. 2017 Macau Galaxy Entertainment International Marathon was held this early morning. Mr. Francis Lui, Vice Chairman of GEG; Mr. Pun Weng Kun, President of Sports Bureau; Dr. Alexis Tam Chon Weng, Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture; Mr. Ma Iao Hang, President of General Association of Athletics of Macau; and Dr. Jorge Neto Valente, Group Advisor of GEG (left to right), officiated the gun-firing ceremony.
- 2. Mr. Francis Lui, Vice Chairman of GEG, GEG senior executives and team members celebrated for winning the marathon’s Group Trophy for the 13th consecutive year.
- 3. Mr. Trevor Martin, Director of Human Resources and Administration of GEG; Mr. Francis Lui, Vice Chairman of GEG; and Dr. Alexis Tam Chon Weng, Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture; Mr. Ma Iao Hang, President of General Association of Athletics of Macau; and Mr. Pun Weng Kun, President of Sports Bureau (fourth to eighth from left), presented awards to the top ten male athletes of Full Marathon.
- 4. GEG team member Shanti Devi Adhikari won a first runner-up in Female Category C of Mini Marathon, while and Ram Kumar Tamang won a second runner-up in the Male Category C of Mini Marathon.
- 5. This year, GEG again hosts the Most Creative Costume Award to enliven the atmosphere of the event.
- 6. The runners passed by Galaxy Macau™ and renowned landmarks and cultural heritage sites in the city during the course.
