GEG to Hold COVID-19 Vaccine Information Seminars and Set Up Vaccination Point for Team Members at Galaxy Macau in June
May 27, 2021 – Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) has been proactively supporting Macau and Mainland China on COVID-19 prevention and control through implementing an array of practical initiatives. To support the Macau SAR Government’s call for more residents to get vaccinated, GEG will hold two COVID-19 Vaccine Information Seminars for GEG team members on June 1 and 2 and invite Dr. Tai Wa Hou, representative of the Health Bureau of the Macau SAR Government, President of the Macau Physician Association of Public Hospital and Clinical Director of the Public Conde S. Januário Hospital Center, and related staff to explain more about the vaccines. Additionally, in mid-June, GEG will invite the Health Bureau to set up a COVID-19 Vaccination Point inside GEG’s property so that team members can more conveniently receive their vaccination and contribute to the community’s collective prevention efforts.
The two COVID-19 Vaccine Information Seminars will be held at the Ballroom of Banyan Tree Macau in Galaxy Macau™, during which Dr. Tai Wa Hou and the related staff will provide GEG team members with details regarding the vaccines’ efficacy, who should or should not take the vaccine, other important information, as well as help answer team members’ questions. Through the seminars, GEG hopes to provide team members with all basic and necessary information about the vaccination so as to help them make their own decision. In addition, GEG has arranged for the Health Bureau to set up a Vaccination Point at Galaxy Macau between June 10 and 12, which can serve 1,500 to 1,800 team members and their family members over the three-day period. Furthermore, team members who gets their first and second shot of COVID-19 vaccination between June 1 and July 31 can enjoy up to 2 days of Special Vaccine Leave on the day or the day following their vaccination in order to allow them to have sufficient rest.
Committed to protecting the health and safety of its team members, GEG has been working closely with the relevant departments and supporting the related pandemic prevention and control measures laid out by the Macau SAR Government. The success of Macau’s anti-pandemic work did not come easy. As pandemic prevention and control has become part of society’s new-normal, GEG will continue to support the Macau SAR Government’s related guidelines and policies, and would like to take this opportunity to encourage team members and the public to work together and show our best in preventing and controlling the pandemic and responding to the Macau SAR Government’s call to get vaccinated as soon as possible.
